In October 2017 we added 136 solar panels to our roof and became 100% solar powered!

The system wiring all runs to the inverter that changes the DC voltage the panels create into the standard AC voltage.

Alexander Electric electricians pull and organize the system's wiring

Each awning's wires are then pulled the the wall to interconnect the entire 20 panel system

Once all panels are in place, each panel's wire will connect to the next panel

Each awning will span 2 garage doors for a total of 4 awnings / 20 PV panels

The frame is then screwed to the top brackets and the door header

2 brackets are screwed in place and the panel is then hung on the brackets

Using a template that matches the awning frame, clip holes are pre-drilled

Delphi Signs fabricated the frames and mounts the panels

In October the first step of planting our rain garden was removing the temporary grass and the nasty plastic retaining mesh!

A layer of fresh top soil, then the native seeds and a layer of straw!

We worked late the night before we reopened on Schmaltz Blvd and were greeted by a beautiful moonrise as we left for the night

Once our sign was moved we posted a banner at the old site to redirect visitors

The weekend before we opened found our kids laboring away...Aubrey painted signs

In keeping with our green theme, our waiting areas feature gently used furniture from HFH Restore

We may have closed shop, but the crew worked 2 days straight moving shop tools and equipment

We close shop on Yost Ave. on Wed. 8/26 at 5pm and will be closed 8/27-8/30

BOTH locations will be closed to customers on Thursday 8/27 and Friday 8/28
to allow the heavy equipment company to move and wire of all of the big shop equipment...8 lifts, an alignment rack, air compressor, etc.

World Wide Automotive will re-open on Monday August 31st at our new location at 2661 W Schmaltz Boulevard.

World Wide will keep the same phone number, but we will have a new phone system.
So if you call during the next week, you may get directed to voice mail during the move.
We will return your call as time permits during the move, but we hope you will please be patient with us over the new few weeks as we make our big move and learn our way around our new phone system and our new building.
